Claire: Preparing for Long-Term Service in SE Asia
Birthday: 1/10
When Claire was 7 years old she accepted Christ. In 2012, '13 & '15 she was apart of a team that came down to Mexico Caravan Ministries for a week and each time she learned more and more about Gods heartbeat for that nations and that going or sending was not a suggestion but was a commandment. It was not until her time as a camp counselor in 2017 and '18 that she truly surrendered her life to God's will as the importance of the gospel was engrained in her heart. Understanding that on the cross Jesus was separated from God and that it was not a metaphorical separation but that Jesus felt and understood the separation all so that we would no longer have to live in separation from God changed her direction in life. Her heart became burdened for people as she felt God's grace and love in a new light. She knew that God had a different course for her then she had previously had planned and continued to pursue this course by moving to California and working as a nanny while finishing up school online. A few months after moving to California the opportunity to apply for the office manager position at Mexico Caravan Ministries was presented to her. God had been working and moving (literally and figuratively) in her life and she trusted that moving to Tijuana was apart of God's course for her life. She served as the office manager at MCM through 2021. More discipleship and further training continued through both her local church in San Diego, California, and Radius International in Tijuana, Mexico. Claire is currently raising financial support with the goal of being in SE Asia by summer of 2025.
